Commercial vehicular Mahindra and Mahindra (M&M) is setting up to sell fruits and vegetables under its own fresh brand name – Mahindra, reports Business Standard.
The company is also conducting a pilot plan in 100 acres at Punjab and Maharashtra, where it is busy dealing with farming and contract services.
The company will sell fruits that have sustainable competitive benefits in international markets such as mango, banana (processed pulps), orange and as well guava. The company might also set up pack houses, cold storages and food-processing centers if opportunity comes along.
