Mix powdered egg whites with sufficient
water to create a thin mixture. Spread sugar
on a big plate. Using a pastry brush, apply
a skinny coat of egg white mixture to each
fruit, then cautiously roll it in sugar
and set on cookie sheet to dry. Allow fruit
to dry totally before arranging. Or, to
make an easier -- but inedible -- arrangement,
spray fruit lightly with artist's adhesive,
then immediately roll in sugar. Let dry
temporarily before arranging.
