Papaya fruit is available throughout the year and they are rich in vitamin C, magnesium, potassium and fiber. This recipe is a combination of raisins, apricots and papaya and it is really a healthy recipe which helps to keep our body in perfect health conditions.   • 1/2 small head finely shredded cabbage (about 4 cups)
  • 2 small peeled and shredded carrots
  • 3 green thinly sliced onions,
  • 1 small sweet bell pepper
  • 3/4 cup of Sun-Maid Natural Raisins
  • 1/2 cup of cubed fresh or frozen, thawed mango
  • 1/2 cup of cubed fresh or frozen, thawed papaya
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 3 tablespoons of       extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons of fresh lime juice
  • Chopped cilantro leaves for garnish


  1. In a large bowl combine cabbage, carrots, onions, bell pepper and ¼ cup of raisins, mango and papaya.
  2. In a small bowl mix sugar, olive oil and lime juice and add to the vegetables and fruit and mix thoroughly.
  3. Pour the mixture into a serving dish and garnish with cilantro and remaining raisins.

This recipe is for the ones who do not want to spend much time in kitchen. It can be served as snacks in the evening time for kids or even it can be added to your lunch.
