Banana Cream Cakes

Bananas are very high in vitamins and potassium and they contain a lot of calories in them which is needed for many gym rats to build their muscular body. They are available throughout the year and it is less expensive when compared to other fruits. There are different types of bananas with different taste and for our recipe select the yellow bananas which has less brown spot in them. Bananas have the characteristics of getting ripened early and so it can be refrigerated to postpone ripening. Banana cream cakes are very easy to prepare and it is for the ones who do not love to spend their time in kitchen for a long period. Below you can find the ingredients needed to prepare this recipe followed by instructions.



  • 3-4 bananas
  • 1 tablespoon of plain or vanilla yogurt
  • 3 tablespoons of sugar
  • 2 cups of flour ( half whole wheat, half white)
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 3 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 egg
  • 2/3 cup of milk


  1. Place two bananas and yogurt into a blender, and blend till it becomes creamy and then put the mixture obtained in fridge to cool down until the cakes are ready.
  2. Combine sugar, flour, and baking powder and add the butter which is reduced into small pieces.
  3. Add milk and egg to the mixture and stir it completely till it gets combined.
  4. Drop by large round balls in the shape of golf ball onto a baking sheet.
  5. Bake at 450 F for about 8-10 minutes, or until center is cooked properly.
  6. Cut into half and fill the cake with sliced bananas and cream which was kept in the fridge.
  7. Crumble the cakes up into a dessert dish, topped with bananas and cream and this step is an optional one.

This recipe can be served for desserts and it can serve three people. This recipe can be prepared in 20 minutes and it is very easy to prepare it.
