Blueberry Boy Bait-Fruit Recipe

Blueberries are a good source of vitamin C, fiber and manganese and they are available in North America from June through October. These berries are best to be consumed as soon as possible without storing it because blueberries are not like other fruits and they do not last long. Blueberries can last about 3 days in the fridge and frozen berries are a good alternative for the rest of the year. While purchasing, pick the ones which are bright in color and avoid the mushy ones.   • 2 cups of flour
  • 1 ½ cups of sugar
  • 2/3 cup of butter
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • 2 cups of blueberries

Directions

  1. Combine flour, sugar and butter together.
  2. Reserve ¾ of cup of this mixture for the toppings.
  3. Remaining mixture can be combined with salt, baking powder, vanilla, milk and egg yolks and it should be blended well.
  4. Beat the egg whites until they become firm and fold into batter and pour into 9” X 13” baking pan.
  5. Sprinkle some blueberries over the top along with the remainder of reserved flour/sugar/butter mixture.
  6. Bake it at 350 degree in a preheated oven for about 40-50 minutes.

This recipe has high calories and can serve about 8 people. This recipe takes only 10 minutes to prepare and 50 minutes to cook and so altogether it takes an hour to make this recipe. It can be made during festival seasons and other special occasions. One can also blend some strawberries along with blueberries and experiment new delicacies.
