Strawberry Pie

Strawberries are very good source of vitamin C, potassium, folates and fiber and they act as an antioxidant fighting free radical compounds that can cause chronic illness.   • 1 pie crust, pre-baked
  • 1 pint of ripe strawberry
  • 1 package of strawberry Jell-O gelatin dessert
  • 2 tablespoons of cornstarch
  • 1 cup of hot water
  • 1 cup of cold water
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • whipped cream


1. Prebake the pie crust and allow it to cool down for few minutes.

2. Slice the strawberries into the pie crust and take a separate medium saucepan and mix the package of jello and the cornstarch.

3. Add some water and sugar to the above mixture and cook over medium heat until boiling.

4. Stir it occasionally and pour the boiling mixture over the strawberries and place the pie in the refrigerator.

5. Allow it to cool down for 3 to 4 fours or until the jello glaze settles down.

6. Finally, apply some big dollops of whipped cream over the pie.

This recipe is for the ones who do not want to spend a lot of time in kitchen as it takes only 30 minutes to prepare this delicious recipe.
